This might be a dumb question, but can you use the FC 65mm TB with a JRSC? Seems like it'd help that puppy suck more air in there quicker! Thanks guys!

yes
however the consensus is the power gains are negligible.

i remember some one post not to long ago, they had the jrsc w/ bbk and dyno'd with the fc tb and said he gained 9hp after adding the tb.
well i guess we dont have a consensus then

again with the TB gains, it adds power on the butt dyno, and adds throttle responce to the motor thats all.
end of discussion.

I broke 2 FCTBs. I think they have had others break also that were on JRSC equipped zetecs. The linkage would break off and the butterfly would just be loose in the tb

Maybe with a NA motor, but there are some gains to be had with FI.
you'll get some gains with your SC it'll help it breath alot better.. it'll be worth the 250
awesome. thanks for the input, guys. since you seem to say breakage may be an issue, are there any other brands to check out besides FC?
you would be better off porting your stock TB, instead of dealing with all of the FC TB problems.
I've never had a problem with my FC TB. I say port your stock one to start out with. Its worth a try for the 10 bux and time invested.

Welding Rod picked up 1whp from a 65mm T/B on his 260whp turbo beast.

With a turbo you force air through the TB, but with the JRSC air is still sucked through... so a wider opening "should" give more flow.
Should yes. Does? No.

I felt a throttle response difference on my JRSC when I went down to a stock T/B, but not a power difference.

It was slower to rev, but when the pedal was to the floor, there was no difference.

WHat he said. I have a ported stocker and it pulls just the same. Save your $250.
No breaking problems with mine. Do you honestly think you're gonna feel the 5 horsepower or so difference? The 65mm TB does add a little power, and the throttle response is great feeling, or at least I like it. The power added is not going to be enough to feel on a butt dyno, but put it on a real dyno, and it'll show.

And why does that matter?
