does the 4-2-1 race header replace the cat?

what does the flew pipe do?

what does the off-road pipe do?

4-2-1 race headers, or long tube headers replace the cat and connect to the flex pipe.

the flex pipe is another section of the exhaust the dampens the vibrations on the exhaust. Its flexible like a spring, but still stiff.

the off road pipe just replaces the cat if you get a short header. with a race header you don't need this.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Everything said is correct except the above statement. The flex pipe does nothing to dampen vibration of the exhaust, but it is a flexible connector between the engine mounted exhaust manifold / cat which is very rigid and the chassis mounted exhaust system allowing for engine movement without breaking or causing excessive movement to the rest of the system by flexing while still maintaining the integrity of the exhaust system sealing.
