I am a huge fan of any Chevy with a V8 in it (I'll someday have one in the Focus) and would love to see this on the street. Way cooler than a suburban, probably way heavier too considering the SSR hits 5600lbs

It uses the full size truck platform, chevy's being robust to start. They added frame strengthening like mad. Getting a truck platform as rigid as a C5 will do that

The automated hardtop mechanism is really heavy, and the thing is generally rugged as hell. I think this would be about the only flashy convertable on earth that you 'could' go off pavement with without worrying about future squeaking and all that fun stuff
