When i start my engine the lights on my instrument panel and my headlights seem to flicker a bit for a few seconds.. is this an indication my alternator is going bad? I have about 22,000 miles on the car. If i install the afx udp, will this make the flickering worse? Will the udp dim all of my lights?

are you saying you're starting the car with the lights on and thats when they flicker? if so, derr. the starter is a big drain on the battery.

thanks, i'll take it into the dealership and see what they can tell me. The car's still new and under warranty.

i think i wasn't clear. if that is happening when starting the car only and you have your lights on while you start your car, that is (while not necessarily NORMAL) its okay to happen. and a UDP will not change anything, because at that time, electric accessories are running off the battery
