Air box removal

How do i remove the bottom half of my air box are there any bolts holding it in

thanks it worked perfect and i was able to remove the snorkel. the box was hard to pull at first thats why i thought it was screwed in.

just got the snorkle off my intake box. Is that the only place it gets air from is where the snorkel/silencer was at?

Actually 2 places:
1. The snorkel/silencer.
2. The "cold air" tube that runs from above the radiator area to the bottom of the air box.

does anyone think that drilling some holes in the air box near the cold air part where the snorkel is a good idea to get more air in???

I doubt it increases airflow and adds any real power gains, but if a loud, deep growl is what you're after, go for it.

I don't think it will do much. However I have thought about making my own cold air setup using that hole area were the silencer used to be. Just drill out that hole area and run some kind of tubing from below the fender to the air box. I am not really sure this will do much but in theory it sounds good. Has anyone done this??
