Solution's sitting in the barn: 185/65-15 Kuhmo I'Zen snows on stock 15's, w/ one winter's mileage on them.
It's about time we got decent snow around here. Lansing winters are pretty tame compared with those in the Upper Peninsula. I was going through withdrawal.
1 mile to work and many employees pass my place on the way. It sucked last yr with the stock tires and I am sure my 215/35/18 sumitomo's aren't going to be the best either. oh well, last winter here anyway!
got a set of 195/60/15 Firestone Winterfires mounted on the stock wheels ready to go. i didn't get stuck once all last winter and i drove almost every day (of course not right after the big one, had to shovel out first.) Definitely worth the $55each from tire rack.
