Where the crap do I get them? I don't think paying $60 for an overlay is what I want. I don't want the EL Glow, or anything of the sort. Just white gauges. I know some people have said Speedhut in the past, but their site doesn't show anything for our cars and the only gauges they show are El Glow.

speedhut.com

use the search function and u'll see why i suggest them, very popular, very good quality, easily customizable

Right, speedhut....but like I said, they don't have a listing for the Focus. I emailed them but haven't recieved a reply yet. I searched, but like my first post says, there are specific things I want and don't want.

Nells. Haven't seen you here in a while. I looked on ebay and found one set that I could handle, but all the other ones are indiglo.

well they definitly have a focus listing, so many people here have em

but if all u want is an overlay...just go with the FocusCentral gauges

I've been here. Just haven't had much to say.
I want to say I have the indiglo ones actualy, but they adjust too, so they could look "normal" also (aside from being white faced).
I could be wrong though, it's been awhile since I've seen stock guages.
And Bomz is a brand name

Here's a pic of mine- it's dark out though so it's not a great pic. Is that what you're looking for?

what about the mac white face gauge? found it for 40 at newedgeperformance

it replaces the stock background, when you install the mac u are supposed to take the old one off and put the mac on. thats the way i did it, and it looks great, nothing fancy just white faces. this kit also comes with two pieces of metal ideal for taking the needles off (nothing complicated, but nice to have em in the kit).

it is exactly the same lettering as stock, just black and white are reversed. if you are looking for the same thing i was, then these are great. they are clean, simple and white, my friends like them, but assume they just came on the car. the green tint for the lights is a little lighter green, but i think it looks better in the dark as well.

I don't know how willing I'd be to take the old ones off truthfully.
All I had to do was slip mine over, when the needle stuck, it just had to be bent up slightly (pretty common from what I remember reading).
Just my opinion though.

yeah, i don't doubt that removing the old face isn't for everybody. but if you don't want the indiglo, then you have to do it otherwise the light won't shine through the new face as well as it should. your gauges look great nells, im just helpin to layout the options

yeah, but if he doesn't hook up the gauges to glow, won't they be just white gauges at that point?
Yeah, I'm a little confused as to what he wants. If they're just white and don't glow at all, is there going to be auxiliary lighting shining onto the gauge face to illuminate it at night?

Didn't you read what he said in the first post of this thread:

I don't want the EL Glow, or anything of the sort.

You'll notice I did not RECOMMEND the gauges to him.

He stated that he was unable to find the page for the Focus gauges @ speedhut, so I linked them.

I didn't realize you *had to take the guages out to get the indiglo.

oh no, i was talking about the non indiglo gauges. i think people are confused on the terms, your gauges look fine and you don't need to take the old off. indiglo has the little box that changes the gauge color. the stock gauges light up because there is a light behind them and the letters have green film that lights them green when in the dark.

so the indiglo ones can put on and look just fine without removing anything (they have indiglo like watches and stuff, that makes its own light)

but the ones like the mac and other non-inidglo ones, have the film that allows light through, so you can imagine that you would want to take the original overlay off otherwise the light won't shine thru as well. the sheet that is the gauge face is stuck onto a clear plastic housing with lights behind it, all that holds it there is the adhesive that comes on the face like tape.

OK I freaking LOVE those gauges, but MAC does not make them into KMH, so that really stinks.

why dont u want the EL Glo, just curious, if its because u dont want the WHOLE face lighting up, theres still the REVERSE el glo option...

my same thought...lookin at this thread i got all [censored]-eyed...u want to upgrade to white faces but keep stock lighting even if its the same price as better lighting...

I just want my stock gauges to be white. I want the numbers to be colored and that's all. Just like the stock gauges. I don't want electroluminescent blue faces or red or green or fuscia or mauve or pink or anything that is going to distract my eyes at night.
Image
I'd prefer the gauges to look mostly dark at night with the only thing lighting up being the part that I need to see (numbers and what not). I'm guessing the MAC will be what I'm after since they just replace the stock gauges. The FC one looks ok except for the big FC logo and all the white light shining in from the edges. Closer to stock is better, so the MAC looks like my best options.

Scott, thanks for the link, I must've missed em my first run through. That clears a few things up.

Thanks everyone. I'm 99% positive on getting the MACS. Anyone have a pic of those at night?
