Re: All Oem Ford Parts 10% Over Cost

Starter for a 02 zx3
Shipped to San Diego
Manual trans $127.17 plus a $75.00 core.

Auto trans $144.12 plus a $75.00 core.

Do some checking to be sure it's really a bad starter, even after all these years being on here I don't stock starters because they virtually never fail.

thanks. And what about just the compressor and a belt?

Also, do you stock the tool that is used for changing the timing belt?
You know what? I didn't have the compressor in the last list, for some reason I thought you already had a new one lined up.

The compressor is $211.13 and the clutch assembly is $128.38, a belt is around $33.00 but I forget what year yours is and '02-'03 are different from '04.

could you verify that the SVT countour "2000 model" is a 3/8 NPT thread and that it has the same connector as the focus I went to the parts house and there is 3 different connector types... I know one was wrong because it was round but the other 2 look just like the focus SVT but they both look its a little different from each other...

Im trying to get the Bostig Thermo housing installed...

and I will need a qoute

Contour SVT coolant temp sensor
Focus SVT Thermostat housing gasket
Focus SVT 192 F Thermostat
Thermostat gasket

The SVT Contour was a 2.5 V6, that's not the sensor you want.

The next issue is that we don't know for sure which housing to head o-ring the Bostig housing was designed for, there are two different ones Ford used.

Sensor $22.54, I have to assume this one will work, it's the one we sell in the Contour conversion for the SVT
Housing to head o-ring $3.85 or $5.23
Stat $8.54
Stat o-ring $4.40

I saved the list on quote Q519206.

I added the plugs to the quote, I don't have any official spec on the sensor size but my highly accurate plastic ruler says it's about 3/8"

Here is a pic. Disregard the red writing, it's not mine. The cylinder/plunger has a black box on the side of it. Is that what I would need ?
I can hear a very faint clicking sound when the brake is applied. It's coming from the black box.

There were two solenoids used, round or square. The round one is long discontinued so if that's what you had you'll need the $95.00 part I quoted plus another part for $33.87 that's required to update it.

If you already have the square one you just need the $95.00 part.

hey Steve on that coolant temp sensor,is it ford part number F5AF-12A648-AA?

and are the SP487 coppers just a colder copper specific to the SVT instead of the SP463?
The sensor number you have is an engineering number for an older sensor, not the one I sell for the stat housing conversion.

SP-487 is the old part number for the SP-524 which is the OEM SVT double platinum plug.
