dumbass. deserves what he gets for investing his money (a good sum) into something that isn't even worth it. maybe if it were a rep that was fully done up. ie HEMI, then yes.
I saw that auction a few months ago. I think it had the Hemi emblem on the hood, but the commentators were even talking about how Don Johnson openly admits that it is not a true Hemi.
I don't have a link, but the car had all the emblems. Don was at the auction but if he said it wasn't a Hemi I missed it.
Crap like this is why older cars are perceived as being worth more than they really are. People with money, but no real knowledge, are driving the prices higher than they deserve to be.
Same thing happend down here at an auction at a closing car museum. This guy paid $172,500 for a Batmobile that was one of six used in the 60's tv Batman show and movie and it still ran and everything but like a day after the auction it was found out to be just a replica built in 1994.
