My case went to court on Monday 10/16/06 and my attorney got the ticket cost reduced from $183.50 to $120.00 add in court costs of $30.00 and legal fees of $90.00 to represent me which totals $240 out of pocket.Expensive for me? Yes.Lesson learned? Absolutely.I received no points on my drivers license and no conviction will appear on my record so my car insurance won't be affected at all which is what had me worried most.

yeah, best thing is your insurance won't change, but ow, speeding tickets do hurt

Yeah, the court systems have finally figured out how to legalize graft.
But hey, I had to buy into it a little over a year ago. Got a speeding ticket that I couldn't carry and needed to dissappear. An hour of my time and 50.00 extra and it did.

I always got my tickets reduced myself. :dunno:
Twice...
Once was a 15 over reduced to impeding traffic ... $145
Once for disobeying a signal light reduced to impeding traffic... $100
Thankfully nothing since.
