OK boys and girls, I don't know if anyone remembers me mentioning this thing about a month ago or not. Well, I just checked on Anderson Ford Motorsport's site and they have the info up finally.

Here is a link to their 'new products' page with their Focus turbo at the top of the page. For the lazy ones out there, here are the results:

And yes that is HP and Torque at the wheels!

That's for the intercooled option running at 9 psi of boost. The system was developed in conjunction with Hahn Racecraft. Tentative price on that bad boy is $3049 and should be available in 3 months or so.

I know they worked extensively with Diablo Sport to create a custom chip to handle the fuel and timing issues. Much time was spent on the dyno tuning everything to get it right. As I understood it, they are using 32 lb injectors or so.

And before anyone goes asking me a bunch of questions, let me just say: "I don't know" and get that over with. The only inside info I have on it is a very short conversation with Johan @ Diablo and an even shorter conversation with the tech director at Anderson- and I've already spilled all the beans I picked up there. I'm just throwing up some info that I doubt many people are aware of.

Now this is what we want to see!

201fwhp is nothing to laugh at, especially with that weak baseline to begin with. The price sounds very reasonable too. I wish they had some pictures of the kit up along with more specific info like what turbo and components they are using etc., but I'm sure that will all be in due time. At least they have some results to show and proof that this project is moving forward.

awesome. however, now that you did this to us, WE NEED WAY MORE INFO, fuel management, components, placement, tubing, and so on, i knew about hanh making the turbo but i didnt know it was gona be through these guys, hahn is a great company for turbos, so i have alot of trust in this kit. Woohooo, and the price is very nice also, i cant wait to check it out, and i bet they are using a stock MAFS...

Although i kinda wish they incorporated a cheaper stand alone option to get rid of the mafs sensor, i like map sensors better for turbos

Look at the actual GRAPH and you will see that it is 99whp

hahn again is a great company, just ask the neon guys, they know their stuff, i hope they also worked with ford a bit to get the management down right the first time.

I really really want more info and pics on this setup, the price sounds REALLY REALLY good if it comes with a real manifold and intercooler, hopefully its not one of those cheezy turbo kits that uses the stock header and just a pipe for the turbo, i want a manifold damnit

Well the kit isn't done yet so I would hope the dyno gets a little better in the coming months. I would rather have some funky dyno then "it will be out soon...one year later it will be out soon"

The price is VERY right though...2300 for the 6lb kit. That destroys the 7lb JRSC kit which should be 2500 (5lb) + ~700 for the upgrade and the power #'s will probably be close. Just think if you already have a diablo you should be able to get it reburned

Very nice stuff...maybe I won't be getting that JRSC just yet.....

boost spiking?...hmmm hahn told me a long time ago when i used to be on the neon forums that they have started making a system for the focus...seems it has come true

I know Anderson very well from the Mustang world and they definitely know there stuff, and I dont think (like I said, Im not positive) that they would put somthing on the market that doesnt work well.
good stuff, I hope its a good system.

This looks like an awesome kit, any ideas if it would require the internals to be built up at all? I am so interested in this kit right now that I think I may call them today!! what about nitrous with this kit, think that would be a good idea??

WTF is that bump at 4700rpm, im guessing they also have cams in that car and just didnt want to say it, or its twin turbo

lol

or most likely bad tuning?

can someone call them and find out some real info please? I hope its not all vaporwear or anything. I mean they dont give ANY info at all and a etchy dyno, but the thing that ensures me is that its a HAHN turbo kit, and they arent flaky, and they build good kits, so hopefully it will be legit and will come out as planed, 3 months not 3 years like the rest of the kits

Ok I just got off the phone with them...the kit is very real.

The turbo is a Mitsu Super 16G
It will include a NEW cat that is relocated a little downstream.
Turbo will mount to stock header OR any aftermarket shorty header
Right now they are using a Diablo chip but are still having fueling issues, the tech thought they were 36lb injectors

The intercooler is a HAHN design...so whatever they use. It sounds like this is basically a Neon kit fit to the Focus.

ETA is 2-2.5 months still but they are getting some detonation under 4k right now (thats why the dyno starts at 4k)

wait....deto under 4k but not over???????????

Kinda weird...makes me want to invest in standalone everytime i hear things like this. So far everyone that has tried to make a production kit has not because of fuel. We shall see if hahn can get it right.
