I just got off the phone with Andre. He's out of commission for the time being. The hurricane knocked out their power so he has no phone, computer, and all the other stuff related to power. Fortunately they have a lot of propane so they can make hot meals. They're also helping out some of the older folks in the area with hot meals. They may be without power for a couple more weeks.

Kinda makes the 36 hours I spent w/o power seem like kids play.

It's awesome that he's helping out tho.

I wonder if we could get a care package down there? (assuming they're out of more than just power)

yea best of luck to andre and war and others from sfl. hope they get their utilities restored soon.
A care package might not be a bad idea. They could probably use some simple things like ICE and other goodies.

We could also send him an imprint of the twins so he doesn't get too lonely.

Does anyone know where he lives? I don't have an address for him. I could put a bunch of stuff in the back of the truck and drive down there if I knew where he lives.

Billy found his address. We might take a run down there. Not sure what to bring tho....
Containers full of gas, ice, and bewbies ought to cover it.

I have a camping stove and a propane tank. He and use for a while if needed.
latest from Andre. I talked to him this morning and he doesn't appear to need anything. They are getting ice from the National Guard and they've got plenty of food water etc. They have a propane grill and plenty of propane for now. i told him we would bring down anything they need but he say's they're OK for now. Gas for their car's are the biggest issue, seems like some stations are using generators and running one pump at a time but the lines are very long. They may just drive up here later on to visit and get gas while they're here. So for now we'll just play it by ear.

I would like to tank all for the kind thoghts, we are doing ok here, still no power fpl said november 29th for power(for the last person) some folks out west have power, i took a drive today to Veronica's parents (this is where i am, no pc at home) by the sawgrass mall they just got power back I herd the lines in the gas stations around here were only 45min

I got just enouth gas to get back home, I think tomorrow i'll take a road trip for gas(kind of remind me of Mad Max
)
Other than gas we're good w/ everything else the supermarkets are open runing on generators and I got lot's of propane for my camping gear, we've been coocking hot meals to some elder folks in our building that cannot care for themselves (that's thouth) I have not herd from Anwar and gas is just to precios to take a drive to his house (pretty far) I hope his allright, other than that it's nice to take some time off work
, well I'll head back home now and hope to see all soon!

Glad the power is back on now!!!
Good to hear you came out of the hurricane O.K. - it's a nice break from routine, but no electric for a long time gets old very quick! Funny how spoiled we get - I hated it last year.

Again, awesome to find out everyone's is okay so far -- let us know when you hear from Anwar.
