Another JRSC dyno

Got her dynoed this afternoon at Speedworks in north part of TX. 201.2hp and 152.9 trq. Im not disapointed at all. I just wanted to be over the 200 mark, which I am. I drove the 45 minutes to get to the place because the guy from rffperformance.com works there. Check it out if you havent. Really good guys over there. I let him download the program off my ecu. He asked to do so after I started talking to him about tunning my car. He said that they dont have the stuff tune my computer yet, but the good news is it should be there in the next several weeks. He is pretty optimistic as to what he can do for me. It will be $495 tune...I cant wait I really want to get over the 220 mark, and raise the limiter to 7,750, or maybe even 8,000. I would not plan on going there often at all (8K), but I would like to have some room to play seeing as how every time they ran the dyno the hp went up with the rpms. It went from 191 at 7k to 197 at 7.2k, then they went to 7,250 and it gave the highest hp number, which was that 201.2. Trq was the same way. The trq line is so flat from 3.5 to redline...i guess that is the way it is supposed to be, but I like how it looks! The a/f I dont know much about, but from 3.5K to redline it is pretty flat. The lowest being 11.8 the highest being 12.4. The guy that is going to tune the computer is pretty excited about getting the stuff in that will enable him to tune my ecu. He says he will be the first in the area to tune a svt focus with a jrsc, but I cant comment on it becaue I really dont know. I was real happy with the service, and the tuner was VERY knowledgeable about the computer even though the shopped looked to be a late model chevy/ford/dodge specialty shop. I was impressed with him, and cant wait to see what he comes up with.

Good job on getting a dyno quickly after your install

It's funny how reguardless of the mods on the car(in your case intake, exhaust, and orp)power output is roughly the same. I've seen bone stock SVTF with no mods except the JRSC dyno within 3-4 hp. So basically, it's like I thought, those mods help you run more efficiantly, but don't give you any more power.
Hopefully, with tuning and the proper setup(ie smaller pulley, fuel management bigger injectors and MAF) the numbers your talking about are around the corner.
If it works out good for you, I'll be doing it next summer

Yeah, after reading on the jet about how the mods might not help I wasnt expecting 210 or anything...just about all the same hp and trq numbers i have been seeing. I think the tune will be good...I really cant comment on how much the tuner was informing me of about the computer. I cant wait to see if I get over the 215 mark...that would be nice.
hmmm....now what size pulley, and injectors do it get. This guy was even talking about utilizing a cobra or lightning mas...i dont know...but we will see here in a few weeks...
Those seem to me as some good numbers. However, your air/fuel ratio could be a tad leaner for better top end power. I would try to get it near 14:1. But it is better to be on the rich side like you are than to have it to lean.

This is from Kenne Bell:
AIR FUEL RATIO - You can't make horsepower without fuel. Richer air fuel ratios reduce power but permit higher boost levels on a given fuel octane. Leaner ratios make more power but need lower boost so a lean mixture with high octane makes the most HP. We thoroughly understand all the parameters of supercharging. Supercharger kit tuning demands ignition timing, air fuel ratio, fuel octane, boost, compression ratio, discharge temperature and supercharger parasitic losses all be carefully considered.
congrats David. pretty decent numbers. It will be interesting when someone can really tune the ecu to see what they can get out of it. good luck.

u can't "tune" these ecu's . they are write only . u can only upload data . u can't read from it . so unless u get hold of the binary . which is also encrypted . and understand it . then maybe u can hack it a bit ..

also the system he'll be using will piggy back the ecu . like an e-manage or safc . they're great devices for doing what he wants . and trust me, u'll see gains .. the stock jackson "fuel card" is not designed very well . expecially for us up here @ 3,000 ft ..

i'm interested to find out what you're tuner does with the random rpm spikes sent from the ecu ..

Yeah, I am still waiting on his call. Once he hooked up his computer to the obd 2 port, he knew exactly what he was working with, and explained a bunch of stuff that I didnt really understand totally, but I got the main point. Im sure if he was to explain it to you then you would know exactly what he is talking about. Im a little confused, because he did take something out of my computer, and added it to a long list of stuff that he had on his computer. I will know a lot more when he calls, and we discuss all the final details. Should be a couple more weeks.

Are you trying to get him to blow his engine up?
Was it a dynojet?
Yeah it was a dyno jet I guess. At the top of the dyno it just has the places address and number. I really didnt bother to look too hard at they dyno itself. What other type of dynos are there besides Mustang, and Dynojet? I would venture to guess that it was a Dynojet since some other guys have got 187 on a Mustang. (if those are the only two dynos) Also, if it helps, the shop was more of a v8 stang/camaro shop...but I dont know what stang guy's dyno of choice is. But, pretty sure it was a dynojet.
Any word on when the BIG BOOST Upgrade KIT will be available for JRSC??? Was I correct when I wrote "upgrade" since I already have the JRSC installed??? Is Pectel part of it as well?
Questions - I have to many of them??? Can the Pectel unit be setup for more torgue and less HP numbers or it doesn't work that way????

Well, from what I understand no word from JR. But, you could set it up like the comp car. I think all you need is a pully, injector, mas, and pectel...well I guess thats a lot of bucks...but I am sure it would be a lot of power too. Im just guessing here, so some one will chime in.

I would just change pully, injectors, if you needed the MAF, and have ford chip do it or have some one do a uni-chip, alot cheaper than a pectel, thats for sure.
