Ok so I ordered a cf hood over 3 months ago and I still have not received it. I call them up and the just tell me it has be shipped for the last 2 months. Then I started to email them everyday sometimes twice a day asking where it is. Then I stepped it up one more and told them that if I don't have the hood, tracking number, or a refund in the next three days then I was doing a charge back (which really messes with a buisness as it increases there cost for merchant accounts). So I finally get an email today saying it was shipped. So hopfully it gets here soon. So my advice is DO NOT GET A CF HOOD FROM carbonfiberhoods.net!!!!:thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown

yikes! that sux man. Good thing Ricardo is putting together a deal with a company right now to make 05+ cf hoods for us!

*announcer voice* Spread the word, spread the word! F2 cf hoods, $400-450 each, raised middle design as seen on beautiful sema car.

I hate to bump this old thread again but our company reputation is on the line. It took some digging but I found Aiden's order which was originally placed on 7/18/06.

It turns out he placed the order with us and only paid for domestic shipping. Additionally, he didn't give us a real phone number. We had to request additional payment, information for customs, a real phone number, etc.

We received payment for international shipping on 07/30/2006 at 11:24:50 pm.

The hood shipped 8/11/2006 via truck freight. It got to the final station and the shipping company called telling us we had an invalid phone number. The hood stayed at the local station for two weeks and then was returned to us because we didn't hear back from the consignee.

On 10/01/2006 at 3:04:38 PM we received a new phone number and new domestic shipping address. The hood promptly shipped back out on 10/04/2006 at 12:15:54 PM under BAX Global Tracking Number 333087646 and was signed for in good order.

In short, yes it did take three months to get the hood. Judging by the records attached to the account, I don't think that was due to any shortcomings on our part though.

On average, it is currently taking about a week and a half from the time an order is placed until the hood reaches its final destination. Usually our hoods ship in one or two days and are shipped via three day air.

Bumping an old thread. I created an account just to say this: I ordered an OEM carbon fiber hood from these guys online. 2 weeks pass and I haven't heard anything or received the hood. So I email them to notify and ask them if I can track it somehow? They reply: unfortunately 'we don't carry the VIS line' but would I like to pick out a (more expensive) Seibon hood instead?...

Ok, so you have a ton of VIS products shown on your website, you specifically state that you're an authorized VIS dealer, but now you tell me that you don't carry them? But conveniently I can buy a Seibon that costs more... that's called a bait-and-switch kids, and it's illegal. If the total were over $1k, it'd be grand larceny. Kind of makes sense now why all of their products are under a G now.

I'm already taking action on my end, luckily I have a friend who practices business law. But hopefully I can help someone else avoid this same headache. DO NOT order from carbonfiber.biz or illstreet.net. I think it's kind of telling that when I Googled illstreet.net, this forum was one of the first things that comes up. Should've done more research. Oh well, live and learn.

I’m looking to order a hood for my moms car
Would it be in for Christmas time?

I purchased a Hood from them. It was one of the only ones I could find. Unpainted, Undamaged. I ordered on 2/25/22. I have emailed, called mutiple times, left voicemails, and put in a contact request. My items moved to awaiting fullfillment. Im hoping someone reaches out soon. If they dont have the hood id rather just get my money back based on all these reviews from people I am seeing. They already removed the money from my bank. its NOT pending withdrawl. I will update if i get any information back from them. today is march 3rd 2022.

Yes! I sent them an email 03/03/22 they replied and said ship date was 03/03-03/04. I received a message the next day with my tracking number. They went through pilot delivery. The delivery date was 03/11. So I looked up the customer service number today as I still haven’t received my hood yet. When I called they said it arrived here in Omaha and they gave me the number to another 3rd party carrier who is going to deliver the hood Friday 03/18. I did ask for a refund or my hood to be here by the end of march because I’m wrapping the vehicle to go into some shows and need it for aprils world or wheels! I’ll give another update when I receive the hood if anything is wrong with it or if it gets delivered.

I received my hood Friday 3/18/22. I opened it up and it is damaged it looks like there are holes and broken areas around the edges. I messaged the company and since it’s a weekend I am waiting to hear back on what they plan to do about it. Worst case I have a buddy willing to sand it down and reprime it for me as it’s getting wrapped and not painted.

So after about 2 weeks we have finally gotten an answer! They have issued a full refund of the hood due to the damage. They have not sent a return label or return request as I am assuming they’re letting me keep the hood and use the return of money to repair the hood since I’m running short on time for show time. I have a lot of work ahead of me for sure. I would say this company is not bad as long as you’re willing to stay on top of reaching out to them. I would give them a 4.5 out of 5. Mostly because I wished the hood was in better condition from manufacture and they’re a little slow at communicating but they’ve been pretty good so I can’t complain!
