I didn't get many pics, but others did.

The pod is from P-sport.com It is a universal, but it is fiberglass, and can be cut to size. I covered mine in Carbon/Kevlar cause it was cheaper than painting it. You have to figure out your own mounting points, and mine bolts on to the hood. I'll get more pics up tomorrow of the whole system and how it all mounts. If you don't mind drilling the hood it is a peice of cake. I'll even give you measurements if you buy it so you don't have to do the trial and error thing that I did.

throwing a rallycross is easy too... takes a bit of work but can be very rewarding...

Hey i can't wait for more pics and info on how to mount that thing! Is there any way to make it a quick release? hehe. Does anybody know how the Pods on the WRC cars that look like that work?

WRC applications look to me like they fasten with nuts n bolts or just screws. I thought they might use the hood pins, but they don't.
I'm thinking they fasten to the hood only, though so they can open it without having to take the lighting off.

DOH!!! yeah yeah... I ordered a card and had it shipped. While I ordered the card I ordered the new S1 too. Should be here wed or thur. They'll be here promise... just don't wanna blow the jingle on film and scan and all that ****e when I can use it as a test for the new digi cam...

here is another one from the front. Notice how it doesn't impede air intake. Never mind the geek in the pic.. LOL

So far I have ran quite a bit on the stock suspension.

First Rally-x I snapped a half shaft clean in half - warranty repair

Second Rally-X no problemo, only ran one run though, as I had work to do

thousands of miles on dirt hunting down rally roads - bent up plenty of suspension bits, mostly arms and such.

Nothing that is replaced in a standard suspension kit broke at any time. Alot of other front suspension bits have though.

All that being said, I think if you take it easy the first time out you should have no problem. The suspension on these things are very touchy, and I'm sure if you pushed hard enough on the tarmac you could snap something. Don't go crazy, and have fun.

let us know how you did...

The pod is 300.00 and has to be shaped to fit right. It comes in fiberglass, I carbon/kevlar'd it cause it was cheaper than painting. The bulbs are KC HID and PIAA, both came from sponsorship deals. All of the above can be bought from p-sport.com (sponsors). The HID's are true HID's and MAN are they SOOOO much more different than those "HID Bulb" replacements... If you, or anyone gets the pod I'll send dimensions on cutting so it fits like mine..

slacker you are The Man. Thanks

Uh this may be a little too obvious...

Why not just use some ultra-heavy duty magnets with a fabric\rubber inbetween (To protect the paint) in the same locations you have the bolts. Then, attatch some bars though the grill or something like that to get postive mounting. Obviously this is a sucky solution for real rally racing, but for the show\weekend racer this could be great.

I could see buying this thing just for show... Ohhhhh man I allmost creamed in my pants when I finally saw there was a pod that doesnt require much fabrication....

EDIT: Found this one for $175:

This one is only $175:

slacker: What am I looking at to spend for the whole thing. The pod, light bulbs and the wiring? Thanks in advance. Also forgot to ask, on P-sport website, can I get the SCCA Pro Rally Stickers from them?

BUSZX3 - the road race pod is not a good fit on the Focus. That was my first pod. Magnets would be a great solution if it was just for show.

zetecinside - best thing to do is e-mail pete@p-sport.com, tell him you want what Bill has on the Focus and see what he does with the price. He can work package deals sometimes. As for the stickers, go to SCCA.ORG and get the 1-800 number. Call it and ask for Sean Conlean. He can hook you up with some stickers. The one's on the windshield of my car are custom made though. the official ones are much more toned down.

Like I said before slacker and I'll say it again, You Da Man. Thanks

Hey slacker,
I guess, you are not using any competition seats or harnesses, nor a roll-cage so that you can freely change CD's, play with your road-computer while power-sliding!
Just kidding...I'm jealous. I liked your wheels, what are they?

#23 ·
yeah, this is just the notes car, not yet the comp car...

the wife won't let me cage it untill it is paid for...

and those rims would be....

Revolution competition wheels www.revolutionwheelsusa.com

they are the RZX, in 17's. Kinda spendy, but very original. They are imported from the UK...
