Don't know about the article tho, saying the S8 won't be faster than the current W12...have a feeling Audi will definitely tweak more power out of it

The German Auto Magazine Auto Motor und Sport has reported power of 450-hp from a detuned version of the V10 shared with the Lamborghini Gallardo. That figure is “fairly accurate” according to a source at Audi. Straight-line performance of the S8 is not expected to be any faster than the current W12, though lower weight and more aggressive suspension should mean improved handling over the 12-cylinder version.

It's a cool concept.

I still prefer the looks of the old S8 to this, but the new one will probably grow on me, even if it doesn't have the understated coolness of the Ronin era one.

Yes, but have you ever heard the exhaust note on that V-10, at least in the Lambo it's a thing of beauty.

You can get an A8 with the W-12, but you can't have a sports sedan with that kind of weight above the front wheels. So who thinks the uber-class is gonna start modifying their S8's to beat there baby Lambos?
