How can i tell if my rear wheel bearing is bad? or even front? I suspect i may have a bad wheel bearing somewhere but how can i check aside from taking everything apart?

Jack the car up and see if you can rock the wheel back and forth, if there is any play in it.

Do what he says and also rotate the wheel while it's in the air and listen for any grinding noises. I had no play in the wheel, but it definitely grinded. Also, a bad wheel bearing sounds like a whooshing/humming sound and gets louder and louder as you speed up down the road.
There doesnt have to be play in the wheel for a bearing to be bad. Grab the top and bottom of the wheel and push/pull to feel for play. Any play is bad. If there is no play then put the car up in the air and put the transmission in drive (for automatics) with the front wheels now spinning, use a mechanics stethescope to listen to the bearing (put the probe on the hub) Compare one side to the other. Loud grinding noises are bad. Do the same for the back but you'll have to spin the wheels by hand.

When a bearing gets really bad, It howls like crazy.
