My positive terminal has a fantastic amount of corrosion on it...covering the entire clamp.

I know it had some of that spray/grease stuff sprayed on the terminals before, but that doesn't seem to be working. Any ideas on how to fix and prevent this from reoccuring? I still have the factory 3-year old battery with about 53k miles on the car. Perhaps its time for a new one? Maybe it has a cracked terminal causing the corrosion?
