Beavis Heads to Kia

Ian Beavis, former Mitsubishi marketing VP, is headed to Kia Motors to take over the Korean carmaker's marketing efforts. Beavis will also be in charge of product planning and PR, according to a report from Automotive News. Beavis left Mitsubishi last fall in the exodus of execs from the Japanese company's ranks. Beavis replaces Wally Anderson, who has been on an extended leave of absence due to illness.

i wouldnt say marketing was the downfall of mitsubishi, it was the product itself. the fact that the company failed to address reliability concerns and allegedly hid known defects again doesnt fall under the umbrella of marketing.
