Re: My FR11 Build Thread

Can't wait to see that finished man. I know exactly how you feel about the cold!! I want to do everything, but no motivation, haha.

Oh btw.. If you find new rims, I'll be sure to take your old ones off your hands for ya ;)

Re: My FR11 Build Thread

Polished the passenger side headlight tonight....still not 100% pleased with the results. I'm not quite sure how to get it on par with the other headlight.

After 500 Grit.

After 800 Grit.

After 3000 Grit Wet-sand.

After Rubbing Compound.

Then took some PlastX to the headlight after that and did a side-by-side comparison.

Re: My FR11 Build Thread

Are you polishing with the plastic X by hand?

BTW I went to the post office to mail your goodies out today. But they were closed for some reason.

Re: My FR11 Build Thread

I polished them with PlastX with the drill and polishing pad.

Sounds good Chris, whenever you can get that stuff out is fine.

Re: My FR11 Build Thread

You know why that headlight won't polish up? It's karma.

:p

Re: My FR11 Build Thread

I still rec getting that 3m kit, its what I did aku's lights and mine with. Works best and is fast.

Is that what you used? Super nice having the pads and the drill.

Re: My FR11 Build Thread

I did use the 3M kit, but the headlight I polished isn't as shiny as the other one, and it's bugging me.

Re: My FR11 Build Thread

I used the 3M kit on other lights and had to add water to keep the final polish from drying out.
