IMO Motor Trend sucks. Either of the other two are good for road tests of new vehicles. Road & Track devotes a pretty good amount of space to racing while Car&Driver covers very little racing.

Grassroots Motorsports is a title I highly enjoy. Of your list, I have to lean towards Road and Track just for Peter Egan's column.
Grassroots is top dog for car magazines!
I like Automobile, and Road and Track also.

European Car is another one I like, although, I havn't read one in a long time.

I have subscriptions to:
Motor Trend
Car and Driver
Automobile
Autoweek
I Cancelled Road & Track because it devotes too much to auto racing(hence the Track in the title).
But off that list you posted I would recommend :

1)Car and Driver-Good articles and up to date information
2)Automobile-I highly recommend
3)Motor Trend

there's this one at Barnes & Noble that comes from the UK but it's not Max Power, they're slogan this month was "We're the Phat Daddy of Car Mags", and it came in a plastic wrapper cuz of bewbies. i would recommend that one. because it comes in a plastic wrapper

I agree. Peter Egan's Side Glances column in R&T is woth getting the whole magazine by itself. Plus I think that they have the best photography/art of the three biggies.

Most North American car magazines are crap(there are some exceptions of course), containing more ads than articles and printed on low quality paper. My favorite magazine without a doubt is the British magazine called CAR. Very high quality, great aticles, glossy paper and awesome pictures.
