Tire Rack indicates that these will soon be availible in the 205-50-16 size. Could this be the "answer" for a good all season tire, with some kick, for the foci?

Will we be able to get past the name? (BFG Traction Traction Advantage) or just start calling them BFG TT/As

Nice find!

Just checked these out at the BFGoodrich website. Doesn't look too bad, although the performance claims (10% more rain/snow traction, 15% more dry traction) are based on comparisons to their own Touring T/A tire which is just an okay tire (I had them on a Grand Am and a Grand Prix several years ago). The Touring T/A could certainly use better grip under most circumstances. This tire sounds like a step in the right direction.

The 205/50/16 size is a V rated tire. I would definitely choose these tires as an all-season alternative to the stock Firestones. They are new and "untested" by consumers, but who cares. Anything has to be better than the Firestones. Plus the Traction T/A, according to BFGoodrich, is the OEM tire for the new '05 Mustang. Must have some good overall characteristics if Ford chose it to be on the new Mustang.

Might have to get a set of these in December before the snow hits

We've tested twice in comparison test during the last month. Decent in the dry & wet, rides a little rough. Based on the tread design & compounding and other BFG tires should be decent in the snow.
