[SilverZXIII]

I get a burning smell in 3rd gear if im at high rpms,and i let off the gas to slow down but still in third, the smell is only when i let off the gas, and it lasts for about 10secs then go away. No other gear but third, any ideas wut it could be?

Also i dont know how it could be the clutch if it is. Since i never dumped it or was hard on it during its 40,000mile life so far.
