Gotta love those freaking scoops

New corvette looks are owned 3d by the c5, and 11:1 CR holy damn, gotta tear down the engine to add FI now. Jesus crap to it has bigger calipers up front then the Ford GT. The whole car to was devoloped by all different companies like the GT was. Atleast the companies that helped on the ford GT are kinda under the whole ford umbrella
Image
It also to bad the interior was made by mattel and everything is titanium, i wonder what a set of valves and rods would be at gm for this thing
Image
This car is in viper price range now

for the price , sure its nice...but the interior is made of crappy plastics, suspension is bleh...and the headlights looks like ass....To me its not sexy at all...its gaudy.....
you are obviously clueless when it comes to the corvette. Yea, it is a leaf spring design, though not a traditional leaf spring. The car handles absolutely amazing right out of the box. If you htink it doesn't, you're a moron. It outhandles every car anywhere near its price range by FAR.

#8 ·
Never said it didnt handle well....and I did say that for the price its a great car...but If im going to buy a 2 door supercar..I would never touch that car. I guess I want a car with a more sophisticated suspension as opposed to one with a horse and buggy configuration...

Can I just say something?

0 -> 60 in 3.8 sec.!!!! Top speed 200!!!!

For comparison:

Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale: $190,000 0-60 4.0 sec TS 186mph
Ferrari 575M: $234,639 0-60 4.2 sec TS 202mph
Aston Martin DB9: $161,350 0-60 4.7 sec TS 186mph
Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren: $400,000 0-60 3.8 sec TS 207mph
Porsche Carrera GT: $440,000 0-60 3.8 sec TS 205mph
Lamborghini Murcielago: $273,000 0-60 3.6 sec TS 205mph

Yes, it's no McLaren F1 or Koenigsegg, but holy [censored]!!! That's a FACTORY AMERICAN CAR!

A true American sports car becomes a true American SUPERCAR!

If all u care about is 0-60....ok...I care about the whole package....but I guess thats what american muscle is all about...the whole straightline thing...
Someboddy is very ignorant about the Corvette.

#18 ·
Whats going to be the cost?
If I had to guess, I would bet about 65k.

And this car IS the whole package, it has mass straight line and cornering right along with it. And this is a car you can drive day in and day out and cost 1/5 of what the cars it competes with will cost. What more is there to this whole package of yours?

And anybody who thinks the new Corvette interior is "cheap" has never seen one in person.

No I am not...I would prefer a much better made car.

For example I could get a one year old BMW M3 for the same price as a standard corvette..

I would take the M. I know the Corvette is not just a straight line car, but the argument I always hear about cars is 0-60 times..I dont give a rats ass about 0-60 times..I care about more than just that...The corvette is a great car...amazing for the price..but I want more..and the Z06 isnt that amazing to me..to me, its ugly...very very ugly

Ok straight line in the 1/4 is an American obsession, but you don't hit a top speed of 200mph without some serious work to the aerodynamics, suspension, and engine.

I'm sorry, this is a real supercar.

Sure, we cut some corners with "cheap plastic" interiors, but who the [censored] cares? What do you want? Baby seals? Would that make it a pure bred?

This is a huge leap for American cars and I, for one, am seriously impressed.

The Z06 outperforms the M3 in every aspect of everything. I love the m3, but it honestly does not even look like a sports car. It performs, but it does not perform as well as a Z06. And I bet you can get a used Z06 for the same price you can get a used e46 m3 for.

And I 2nd the argument that if you think the Z06 has a cheap, crappy interior, you've never ridden in or driven one. Compare it the cars on the market now... it blows them ALL away by far.

Still though for 60K or more i expect a half decent interior in my car, the old corvette had a cavalier interior for frig sakes and from what people told me it's still not great. The headlights on the new vette suck also, the looks are just crappy compared to the old one. I been in corvette's inteior sucked balls same with the camaro, classic black [censored] gm plastic. Touch it, tap it it's crap. Alot of gm guys even hate it, and for someone saying this is a huge step for american cars, insert ford GT
