I guess your getting the size perspective from the guy standing next to it during introduction? Otherwise there's nothing else in that video to tell its size. Though unless that guy is 7 feet tall it does seem shorter than it does in pictures.
Yup that would be it. I saw it at NAIAS, well the regular caliber. Its really not big at all. and not Vibeish like some have put it. I'd really say its about the same general size as the Mazda 3, and our beloved euro focus.

I still like it. It's kinda like a turbo forester minus the all-wheel drive. Lets just see what the world class handling is like.

The proportions are growing at me slowly..

The shapes are nice and the size is very close to the Vibe.. which is good.. I really wonder how it handles.. it seems way too tall for be a serious performance vehicle..

Vbe never managed to pull it off (well. it did it best on the Corolla platform)..

I could not care less about the way the nose got styled though.. it is plan and ugly. The same goes for the inside

I just drove by a local Dodge dealer and was impressed with the way the vehicle looked. It isn't exactly my bag, but I bet my wife would love it - if she didn't really dislike Dodge.

It's so tall.....

eek....Not sure what Dodge is trying to do here.....
Have you noticed the Focus lately? :what:
I was going to say, according to some here its the same height as a Zx3..... :dunno:

Time to look up some specs

From KBB.com

Caliber R/T:

Height 60.4 inches

Focus Zx3:

Height 56.8 inches

So it looks like the R/T is 4 inches taller, the SRT will probably b about 3 inches taller than a standard Zx3.

Kinda reminds me of a PT Cruiser like... HUMmmm...... I wonder about the platforms. Could Dodge be pulling one over on us? Anyways we shall see.
As for me, styling looks just a bit too gaudy. Too many flares, bumps, buldges and bobbles for my tastes. Maybe a plane jane version with the big motor.

could this be the return of the "turbo dodges"?

In that video they said it has a 200 MPH speedometer.A tad over optimistic perhaps,no?:dunno: ;)
I still would like to test drive one though.:)

So it already came out? I didn't know they were already out yet. Looks like I'm going to have to take a trip to my local Dodge store.

SRT4 is not due for another alomost a year.. it should come early 2007.... they still have lots of work left.. the regular caliber should be out this summer...

Going to order a Caliber tomorrow. Should have it by April. Just going with the SXT with a few options. I would love to wait for the SRT-4, but this Jeep Liberty is killing me in gas and has to go now.

With its slippery aerodynamics... lol! ;) And its not big, its just ugly. Saw one in person at the car show... well, a regular caliber. Its so cool on paper, but then you see the shell and its like "whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy???" But the Solstice GXP is supposed to get that engine too and its RWD, so its not a complete loss. :)
