Would someone be able to explain to me the concept of cam overlap in a FIed, specifically turbocharged, motor...?

The concept? I'm not sure what you mean, but you generally want as little overlap as possible, because you'll just blow boost out the exhaust valve, rendering it (the boost, not the valve) useless.

read a back issue mustang msg...it'd be one month old now. Basically the idea is that overlap doesn't hurt the turbo the way it does the supercharged motor. I'd say you could get away wtih stg 2's, you'd prolly have to dial some of the overlap out with cam gears, but shouldn't be a prob.
