On super2r or whatever, they installed Crower cams on a Supra without dyno time. They put everything at TDC and cam gears at zero. Then turned the crank to proper valve clearance for each cam, then set the cam gears to what crower wanted. Does this make sense cause that sure isn't how I did it. I can't count how much money I spent on dyno time.

It's called "Degreeing the Cam". Really good way to set up cam timing. Of course cam timing can be adjusted (tuned) for different applications, but this gets you really close to what it should be.
