i just checked andysautosport.com and they dont have one but they have one for the 00 to 03 hatchbacks. however ill keep on looking for you because i love the looks of Carbon Fiber

so that means you can use the VIS Racing hatch I found for you man. or any hatches that you may have found since that VIS Racing one is expensive.

 

the VIS Racing one is 700 if you order it from them directly but from andysautosport its about 300 i believe. So still pricy but 400 bucks cheaper than if you were to get it from the manufacture. You should post some pics up when you get it on.

yea check ebay they also have one every once in a while. Definitely be cool cuz I think I have yet to see one.

 

From the one I saw in person I can tell you that fitment isn't the best. Larger gap then factory on the sides and I heard getting the glass mounted was a pain.

Your stock hatch or a carbon fiber? Why would you go thru the process of getting a CF hatch then paint it flat black?

 

I've seen pics of one and it looked like it had plexiglas riveted on and no more wiper. I would count on poor fit, seal and lots of noise when you're done. It does look cool though.

I've seen it done personally and almost got one myself. It's not worth the hassle and won't even look all that great in person either, sorry :dunno:

I had one about 4 years ago, VIS and it sucked. It fit alright but transferring the glass sucks, you have to plug the hole for the wiper shaft because there's noplace to mount the motor without fabbing some sort of cradle for it, and they rattle and dont seal properly. With the stock glass, wiper motor, trim, and your license plate, you're probably saving like 10 lbs by switching to this carbon fiber hatch because the actual sheet metal of the hatch itself is pretty light, the glass and wiper assembly are about half the weight. Honestly unless its for an all out race application where you're "maxed" out on performance mod's, planning on using Lexan(expensive), gutted with a carbon fiber front clip and looking to lose that last bit of weight, I wouldnt bother with it.

 

my car is yellow and i'm putting a cf hood on it but i thought that a cf hatch would look SWEET if it's going to be a hassel to do does any one have some other recomendations. i'm always open for suggestions
