Hey all,

I've read about problems with CDs jamming in the changer. It happened to me last night. I ejected a CD, but didn't pull it out of the changer, so it sucked it back in. Then it just blinked for a while and threw a CD Error 3 code. I can't eject or play any CDs.

Has anyone been able to fix this on their own?

Thanks for any info.

pull the unit out of the dash.

take teh back covering off, i think its held on with small Star-torx screws.

you should be able to fish around and get the CD to come out by hand.

if u can't, your gona have to bring it into ford.

Yes, I have fixed my cd player before:
1. Go to ebay.
2. Look for a stereo removal tool for an escape or a focus.
3. buy it.
4. use tool and carefully remove CD player.
5. take player cover off with screwdriver or torx (I can't remember)
6. carefullly remove cds

you will also need a set of very small screwdrivers.

try to eject as many CDs as possible.

it is not an easy task but it is do-able

So I got pissed off and have the dash the ol' Fonzie slap. With a cool "AAYYE" and a double thumbs-up the [censored] disk automatically popped out.

Happy Days should be mandatory viewing for the youth of today.

Thanks for the help.

I have done the "Viking-fix-it-method" twice now...and that is to get so frustrated that you mash every single button on the radio at the same time. It's worked every time.

Mine chomped a brand new cd on the way home from the store so I punched the faceplate in half.

That didn´t work.

It was already the third one from Ford. I hope Visteon gives them a credit for all those 6 disc units.
