I am wanting to change my transmission fluid, but when I looked for the drain plug and the fill plug, I only found one plug located on the front side of the transmission. Do I have to suck the fluid out, and then pump new fluid in? If anyone can help it would be appreciated.

The drain plug is located between 2 cooling ribs on the drivers side of the transaxle; it is a bitch to find the first time. I actually put some nail polish on the 2 ribs so I could find it the next time.

Here is a site courtesy of Jon Sturgeon on changing the tranny fluid where he has also posted pictures on the location of the plugs.

I have changed my fluid several times; I use that $2 pump from AutoZone to get the stuff into the tranny.

Don't ask what that "stuff" is; it will start another big debate on tranny fluid type

Hope this helps.

This is a "Team Tech" Question.
The Zetec has nothing to do w/ this...
"Search" there, and you'll find your answers.
