Interesting little tidbit for ya...

I'm currently researching a fast 4 door to possibly replace my 'stang with since I have a kid coming. So far I've looked into a Subaru WRX/STi/Legacy, Lincoln LS ( found a clean '06 that I can get for a really, really good price ) and a Mazdaspeed 6 ( maybe a 3 if I can find one not in the hands of a greedy dealer )

Of all these cars, my Mustang's fuel economy is about the same, or lower by not more than 5 mpg.....


I thought that was just nuts....

Anyhow...back on topic...I spent the last 6 months in Cobalts and they are just awful....that motor must be something else because I'd never want to own one of those things....

the LS is a piece. :thumbdown: Its not the powertrain that sucks per se, its everything around it. Much like a Mercedes. :lol:

I think you'd be happier in a WRX/STI.

STi's are too garish for me. Besides, they're almost twice as much to insure. No thanks....I drove a turbo Legacy and a base WRX and they're just not that wonderful to me, though I thought I liked the Legacy, I drove another one and changed my mind.


The LS was a good deal so it was interesting, and 280 HP and the LS's surprising handling were nice too.

BUT...Now I'm looking at something else...a G35 and a Volvo S60 R....

The R is really nice......and different. The G is a great car, but pretty common....
