My parents are away for awhile so I am going to detail my dad's F250 4x4, God knows it needs it! He has aluminum diamond plate tool boxes & running boards. What can I use to clean & polish them effectively? Thanks, and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would wash them as normal and pick up some Mothers Aluminum and Mag polish. Apply it per the directions. It should clean and brighten anything metallic you have!!

Any other suggestions?

You could also try Flitz aluminum polish with the power ball that attaches to a drill corded or cordless type.I have seen the tv ads for it and it cleans and polishes all aluminum from wheels, tool boxes, etc. Many auto parts stores carry it.
