The Temple of VTEC has confirmed with a Honda PR source that the U.S. will in fact be getting the CR-Z sports hybrid, at some point in the future.

I agree- wonder what the premium will be for the hybrid- I know that the Toyota model is getting softer here in the market placeMaxximtl said:Way to go Honda. They need a lower end "fun" car in their line-up. The fit is cool, but the rest of their line-up is very utilitarian.
That's what I was thinking. It would have to get a LOT better mileage on the highway than the 35 mpg or so that I get with my Mazda3 to make it worth it to me, though, especially since my Mazda3 will be paid off in 1.5 years, and I hadn't planned on replacing it any time soon. I wasn't going to replace it until I could buy a car that would get far and away better mileage on the expressway. I'll be interested to see what kind of fuel efficiency this hybrid ends up with.aerostudent said:I see my next commuter.
It will be interesting to see how well the Scirocco sells, since the styling is so toned down from the concept.jinstall said:VW SCirocco ads are starting to show up here on TV, hmmm. The Civic ahs been doing well but the Type R did not do well at all.
Both the CR-Z and the as yet unnamed "global small hybrid" (I'm going to start calling it the GSH for now :lolslidemaster said:I agree- wonder what the premium will be for the hybrid- I know that the Toyota model is getting softer here in the market place
[system probably adds around $2K to the price however.

Based in the trans needs alone it should exceed that
