At some point, I'll probably need to replace my rotors. "Frozen rotors" are all the rage on my other car forum. One friend that tracks his S4 Avant swears by them. He is very fast now and is braking very late. That can be tough on brakes with a 4400 lbs. car. He went through at least one set in his first season and switched to these. He is wildly happy with them (also swithched to Carbotech pads). The process is not cheap, but is not that bad all things considered.
When I told the folks at "Diversified Cryogenics" about my application (mostly track with some around town driving to keep the car operational and get it to the track), they came back with these suggestions (specific to the SVT Focus):
1. Rotors
Front FrozenRotors: $115.80 each # 680130
Rear: $88.50 each # 680146
Gas Slotting (if desired): $45.00 per rotor
2. Pads
Front Pads Hawk HP+: $95.79 the set # HB346N.713
Rear HPS: $63.64 the set # HB430F.547
Anyone here ever try frozen rotors?

Side note: I have a set of stock SVT pads that I'll be putting on in the next month or so. Those should last me most of this season. My first season (7 total track days of gradually increasing speed and braking demands) left me with about 60% of my front pads remaining.
