I've got 3...2 in front of shifter and 1 behind center console...

I want rubber inserts for smaller cups....i hardly ever drink 7-11 Ultra Humongous Super-Size Big Gulps that still don't even fit in the drive side cup holder...

Who designed the size of the cupholders?

 

i thought the inserts were standard?

 

well my car didn't come with a manual either so... thats coming in the mail. but three????? man thought i was missing out on two, but now its three. guess i'm gonna have to make a run to a, sigh, dealer and see how much the SOB's cost.... crap.

I've been in Foci that couldn't hold a slurpee cup as they seemed closer to the dash. My ZX5 holds large cups like slurpee cups easily though. Maybe something they changed after the first model year?

 

Yes I have them in mine also BUT.........They did not come in my car. I bought my car used and my i seen that my buddy had them in his SO....I went back to the dealership that i got my car from and said i was looking for a focus for my girl they had a used one there so I looked for the cup holders it had them...I took it down the road, set the cup holders behind a vaccum at the car wash, went back told them i would think about it so I went back picked em up brought them home and put them in! Not a bad idea! I jus borrowed them!

But I'm sure alot of people don't look for them anyways! Jus a lil piece of advice!

2000-2001 had horrible cupholders, 2002+ they changed.

 

mines an 02, and the cup holders are right infront of my shifter, i just have to find these rubber inserts or i'm gonna just loose it, called my dealer, and he said he would have to ask someone else, and try back later... damn bastards....

I've accidentally thrown both my cupholder inserts in the garbage at gas stations. They would stick on the bottom of bigger cups and when I went to throw the cups away the cupholders went to. Didn't notice they were gone until the next time I tried to drink a beverage in my car.

 

Why not just go to a junkyard and offer them a few bucks for a pair? I don't think I'd do the test drive thing tho'. They usually copy or hold on to your license for a test drive. At least they do around here.

Here's a good mod for the cup holders. Glue some velcro patches to either side of the holder and console, they are still removable, but won't just come out when you lift your drink.

There are some velcro patches with glue backing already, but the heat during summer might make them tacky and eventually come off, so try some good adhesive.

I'll try it later to see if it works.

OK let me clear something up! OK for one I'm not a crook! I should have gotten the cup holders in my car well I didn't and they said they didn't have them. So I found acar that did besides I should have got them! And for 2 the [censored] that broke into you car is a whole lot different story than cup holders! Trust me dude I had 4k worth of shiot stolen out of my old car and I know how [censored] that was and yes that is illegal and they didn't find the guys that did my stuff either. That is a totally diff. type of ripping stuff off. I did it to a dealership that screwed me anyways so I was jus gettin a little back and it jsut wasn't on the cup holders you would have to know the whole story. And for the record that was 2 years ago and things are a lil different now. If I lokk back on it yeah it was dumb but ya get older and ya learn stuff and see things differently. If it was now than no i wouldn't do it I'd go buy some. But yes I do understand about the car and the whole stealing thing and yes it is stealing and the BORROWING thing was a damn joke didn't know you would take it like that yellow! Calm down bro!
