After a good deal of patience I finally got my CMCV Delete plates in.

From ding to dong the whole process took me an hour...Ya gotta love Mustangs for that...I think it took me twice as long to install just the cold air intake on my old Mazdaspeed Miata.....

Anyhow...this is what the underside of the intake looks like as I install the delete plates....

The delete plates themselves...perched on top of my new 'show' mats....Note the absense of anything in the holes....

these are the OEM plates, note the partial butterfly valves....

The intake with the old and new plates added. You might also note the height of the intake itself, it's pretty tall, and the vee in the engine is deep....No wonder a Saleen blower installed there looks like it's not a supercharger at all, very stealthy, hehe....

Oh...some other recents.....Ford Racing 3.73 gears ( installed Friday ) and an OEM California Special rear bumper cover, to be painted/installed at a later date....

Charge motion control valve, I assume?

What sort of gains are Mustang owners seeing from this? Duratec owners see hardly anything from removing the tumble flaps in their manifolds.

There is a pretty noticeable gain in throttle response. Power is said to be about 6-10 whp, but I can't substantiate that at this time.....

We run those plates in our cars with a Steeda cold air box and reflash. We also had a huge increase with a aluminum driveshart swap we worked out with a company that does show cars here locally. Will be having it standard on our future production vehicles. Its not real cheep at just over $500, but its much more productive that the plates in terms of acceleration.

Someday I'll add forced induction perhaps....but I'm happy where I am for now.

But when that day comes I'll go with a procharger I think, or possibly turbo.

BOB - I see about 24 on the highway and about 19-20 in the city. I was doing a San Antonio to Austin run and cruising at 70 I saw an average of 26....

slidemaster, do you have a link to the cars you keep mentioning?
They are covered extensivelly in Modified Mustang Magazine this last month, this month, March, April and May issues as well. We are attempting to set up a shoot out with a Roush stage 3 with a Roush driver in the stage three and myself or Chris Cook in our car.

If it happens it would be done in March or April, perhaps at the redline time attack
