They have radar that scans in all directions in cop cars. I know. I got popped once by a cop going the opposite direction as me, busted a u-turn, and nailed me for 5 over.

Tint violations are the most ridiculous thing ever. I got one last year. I wasn't speeding, he only pulled me over for my tint. I was travelling northbound on US-23 out of Dundee, MI heading home to Milan, MI. No sooner do I get up to speed, and I've got a MSP cruiser riding next to me. I figure, no worries, he's gonna pass me. Nope. He drops back, gets behind me and hits the lights. Stop the car, shut it off, throw the hazards on, and roll down the window. Cops walks up, hand on holster(I hate this crap when they walk up hand on holster) and asks me "Do you know why I pulled you over tonight sir?" "I have no idea officer." "It's your window tint." "You're kidding me right? I've had this on for over 2 years, and have been pulled over before and have never been cited for this, I've even had officers compliment me on my car before." "Well sir, you're only allowed to have a 4 inch wide strip of tint on your front windows." "Okay."

He wrote me up for "defective equipment." Hell, there was nothing defective about it, it kept the glare out of my eyes when I was driving. So, it was either $140 or take it off. I took it off, but I think I'm gonna get my doc to get me a note on this so I can get them re-tinted when I get my back window re-done after it had to be replaced after it got blown out when my stereo was stolen.

I think it was just a cop who had to meet his quota, because it was the 28th of August when he got me, end of the month, and he was short on his quota, I bet.
