Hi people. I got some Dare V2 17" alloys off my pug 106. I have taken the center plastic caps out. I have bolted them onto the focus and it all bolts on fine. Before I go out and buy the caps for £30 to stop the vibration will these fit the focus okay?

They dont rub on full lock. I have not yet got it lowered. It is a bigger offset though. The wheel size is 205/40/17

They do stick out from the car though but I can fit a wide arch body kit to the car

Will I have problems with barings etc if I use these wheels? Thanks

Yeah the plastic things that go inside the wheel to make the wheel tightly fit to the mount. you never heard of them before?

yep the center rings. push them into the alloy then they a snug fit to your car. Basicaly the stearing wheel wobbles slightly. Like a 1,1 screamin its [censored] off. I used to be able to let go of the wheel and the car was a perfect straight. Now its tiny bit shakey. Wheels ballenced. Just needs the center caps. But before I go buy them will they be okay on the Focus? like not wreck the barings and will it rub if i lower it 35mm

Offset? heard this so much. I know what offset means but what the size is i aint got a clue. Here is everything that was marked inside the alloy:
JWL VIA 620KG HSO32 17x7JJ DARE v2 17"

Tyre size: 205/40/17

If this is any help? what is the corrrect offset for a focus 1.6 zetec? I would like 17 or 18" alloys. I have called 7 dealers today (ford being one of them) all that specialise in alloys but noone knows what the offset is for a focus. Total nightmare

Standard offset is between 45-49mm. 40 is really as far out as you would want to go because you start to have rubbing issues on the fender lip.

From the information you posted, it looks like you have 17" diameter and 7" wide wheels. I am assuming that the HSO32 denotes the offset (also called backspacing). 32 is pushed WAY TOO FAR out. If this is really the offset, I think you will have massive rubbing issues.

I would get the other brand that has a similar style to those wheels. I wouldn't want to mess with making them work on the Focus by needing to heavily modify the wheel arches.

You could take it to a shop and have them machine down the mounting back of the wheel to remove about 10mm from it. That would bring the wheel within specs, but that is a LOT to machine off of the wheel so I would be concerned about it.
