So I've been alot of work to the wagon lately. Most of it has been maintenance but I have been doing a few mods along the way as well.

I have to install a flocked radio bezel I got from Matt (cobrawannabe) and flat black paint vent rings this weekend. This last weekend I put in new energy suspension end links for the rear bar and cut the dead coils out of the stock rear wagon springs. The car sit much more level now. Its not as low was I want it, but it looks better then nothing. I also gave the engine a quick shot of gloss black spray paint as I never did it when I painted the car. (I'll get some pics of this later on) Lastly I re-installed the rack rails. I keep the cross members off as they need refinishing.

A few weeks ago I bought a set of 3 tires from a member on here for a killer deal. I've had wheels for this car for a almost a year now. This week I bought the 4th tire from my friend who works at a tire shop and he installed all 4 for me. I painted the inside of the wheels gloss black and the outside will get painted this weekend. When I got the tires home though I couldn't wait to mount them on the car and check them out.

Fitment is alomost perfect on the wheels. They could use just a little more offset, but they fit nicely. I may pick up my vagina and vut one more coil off the rear and one off the front to get it another inch lower.

So that is just the start, I'll have some more pictures this weekend once the wheels are painted.

For those who may have forgot, this is how the wagon came to us. 01 Street Edition Wagon.

Yes its my wifes car.

Next mod was hiding the yellow. It was rare yes, but it was shot and my wife hated it.

I hated my yellow too, until you paint the trim that is unpainted and other small details. Basically adding all the SVT fixings made my yellow look good to me, before that it looked dull and cheap.

What is the plan for the wheels?

Looks good!

Yeah I tried to talk her into going that route, but she felt a yellow station wagon attracted to much attention to her.

You painted a Zinc Street Edition. Now I will never like you as a person.

Wife didn't like it? Buy a different one and sell that to someone who will appreciate it.

 the previous owner didn't take care of the paint at all, it was shot. I've heard this many times now, but we like the black.

How bad was taping off all the weather stripping? How'd you do it? The reason I ask is that I'll be painting a wagon sometime fairly soon...

The weather stripping pulls off very easily. You pull it off then mask on the edge of metal where the stripping sits.

How does it go back on? Glue? Friction?

Particularly around the rear windows and windsheild?
All friction. The Windsheild I didn't remove as its a huge PITA, that I just taped. The rear windows, same thing, I just just taped up the window glass and sprayed the paint into the crack.

Big, giant sad face that you painted it black. Should have just resprayed the yellow.

:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(
Sorry Charlie.

lol, it's a frakkin' focus. It's like getting mad that someone took the tabs off your collector coke can.
Thats how I looked at it. Its rare yes, but only valuble to a select few.
