Dealership put 10W-30 n my \'02 ZX3

Dealership put 10W-30 n my '02 and said cuz its summer and hot.

what grade should I have in my Focus? 10W-20 is what I thougt. Something about keeping the gas milage up and steady.

I dont do any auto-x'ing and drive ;normal' if that matters.

The spec is for 5w20... But to be completely honest you probably won't even notice a difference. If it were me I'd leave it in there until the next oil change...

Of course, if it were me, the dealer wouldn't be allowed anywhere near my oil fill cap.

10w-30 seems a bit thick no? Now that it's winter maybe you should experiment with 5W-20.

Ditto, and as Jibberish posted, I'd switch to 5w-20 when it starts to get COLD, and do my own oil changes from now on.
(Unless they're free at the dealer... Some dealers do special deals...)

I was using 10W30 Year round.....

Now I use 5W20 Motorcraft Synthetic blend. Only because I get 5 qts and a filter from the dealer for $13.00
