open your glove box -all the way down , you'll have to pinch the sides in and check your ecu code . it should be on the right side . if it matches - direct install . if it doesn't it could be reburned - for a small fee . check into it before you snab on to the chip , fees vary . good luck

How's your chip doing, SE?

I'm sure mine will be on the block when I go turbo., as I will need a custom burned chip.

no worries here

seems like it works ! does do a bit more "hunting" for gear on the freeway - but only on hills ! haven't really given it the true test yet. hoping track time availabilty improves in the spring

might just have a buyer for that chip too mod mod mod away!

there are companys that sell chips for our car.. I have an auto with a Superchip and purchased it from www.focusperformance.com I personaly don't know which one is better out of the diablo and the superchip.. use the search button and I am sure you will find info on both

Also, if you bought the car new and have been in for service....Look on the radiator mount/support next to the hood latch. If you have a sticker with a hand written code on it, your car has been reflashed to another sode during service. It will be there only if the tech has done his job. A big if, I know. You can also give your dealer a call and and give them the VIN and they can run a check to make sure the ECU hasn't been reflashed. What happens is that there are hundreds of codes out there. When your car goes into the shop for a CEL or other driveability type problems, your car will get hooked up to a reader. The tech will plug your car in and look in a book of codes. He'll type in a sequence that supposedly corresponds to your ECU. What will happen is that your code, lets say FVV5, will get reflashed to FVV9. The chip may or may not work. The point of all this is to have you check before you spend $250 and get a perfectly good chip, but your ECU has been reflashed to another code, and thus it will not work.
I was probably the first guy to get a Diablo for the SPI. I was a headache. If it weren't for Cajun (2ds performance) and Johan @ Diablo, I'd have given up. The chip that is for sale on FocusSport is the one I just finished testing. It is a 4 bank chip that really wakes up the SPI. It will sometimes hang up at 7k RPMs. I have learned how to overcome this with a different driving style and it is not a problem whatsoever.
Do 15 minutes of research, and you'll save yourself a potential headache due to some slacker tech.
