I just got my EBC disc brakes and pads in the mail. I have the shop manual cd but you know how that is
.

Has anyone written a howto on brake replacemnet?

I think the search function doesn't like me. I try searching for things and hardly ever come up with anything at all
Anyways good info, not a solid document, but very useful. I will use it when I write the howto.

I know most people take that fact that they can do a brake job for granted. I'm a weekend mechanic so I rely heavily on manuals and howto's
That's my motive for asking the question and further, to write a howto.

I just got done with the brake job.

It wasn't hard at all


Actually the ford service manual is worthless for this job


The brakes feel wonderful though

Are you supposed to bleed your brakes when you change pads?

I thought you only bled them when you disconnect the hose or something. I have never bled my brakes after just replacing pads, I have only done it when I disconnected a caliper.

you do not have the bleed the brakes when you change the pads. and that came from my friend who is a ford tech.
