I normally come all the way from ft. lauderdale when i do the drive but i take

I-95n --> I-26w --> I-40w --> US19/74 (or take I-40 to the US281 into maggie valley)

You dont really go through any MAJOR cities going this way and is only about 6 hours from jax idk how long your way takes

I remember doing the I-75 thing all the way up to TN, then shooting over via the Cherohala. Got stuck in super gridlock four times. 18 hour drive later I was in Robbinsville, mad tired.

I think final route will be dictated by prevailing traffic conditions at the time. Most states publicize construction projects, which is usually the biggest concern (other than random accidents of course).

Too bad none of my CFL-ers are interested.

Yes indeed. While I was going a few over (I was right near MM#11 where you go downhill towards the lake, and there is/was a speed limit increase) the super trooper chased my slow-driving-arse down saying he got me on Laser going 18 over (I was going about 38mph, he said 48 if I recall). My detector was screaming KA band, so I know he way lying. I even pointed out to him (and the three other troopers who showed up, including a supervisor) that he indeed had a Stalker RADAR gun sitting on his front seat. I asked to see his alleged "laser gun," after which the citing trooper got real quiet, and his supervisor declined stating they'd bring it to court.

Basically, the $238 THP extorted from me that day is the last Tennessee will get.

Do they patrol it between 11pm and 3 am? The only way to fly.......
