How strong are these? Are they sufficient in taking abuse?

I am planning these to take FI abuse but thought I might get more opinions over here than in the FI forum.

yeah, they'll stand up to the task...just get the stockers outta there for FI. that and pistons, get some better slugs. yes there's more expensive rods out there, but these for the price i find hard to match.

contact mcnews or tom about which pistons they like to use.

Great to hear. Yea these things are hard to beat for the price.

I've been looking into these rods coupled with the custom JE Turbo pistons (8.6:1) w/total seal gapless rings. Not sure how many of you might have any experience with these but doesn't hurt to ask...
