My guess is that the driveshaft snapped near the back of the transmission the dug into the ground (but stayed attached to the rear end until it tore off of the rear suspension). I'm guessing the guy wasn't running a hoop on his driveshaft.

na guys its a new sport..a cross between hopping (hydrolic sport) and dragging...

Definitely lost the front u-joint causing that. For that car to run a chute, it indicates a higher speed car. With the higher speeds come extra rules. One of those rules being a driveshaft hoop to prevent a total loss like that. No way should the car gotten through tech without the hoop.

Yeah - I don't think it pogo'd on the drive shaft, but rather the rear differential input.

Wild ride there.

looks like he kept it off the wall? pretty sweet considering how messed up the car was to not hit that wall he was heading for.

if i lost my car like that... i'd be proud
if u drive a focus, without a rwd conversion its not happening.

just think if it did and u could drag the rear around hahaha/
