In MY '04 there will be the new 2.3L available to all folks in the USA. I think this engine produces about 140 HP and 145 ft-lb. Is a 30HP boost that a SVT provides truly worth it?

Is SVT going to make a change to their engine in '04?

To me, it looks like a premium zx3 or zx5 with the 2.3L is a sweet car for a sweet deal.

I raised this topic not because I want to annoy SVT Owners and I clearly know that the SVT is much more than an engine. The svt is more exclusive and with many zx3/zx5 unavailable options. The svt is a fine choice and a good buy.

Still, the 2.3L option on a power premium with advance track is still an awesome choice for people. Especially the sedan and wagon folks.

Ford is making the Focus better each year and this continuous improvement will lead to improved sales. I credit ford for making the 2.3L an option in 2004 nationwide.
