When i put the gear in "1" position and take to 7000rpm, it seems like the fuel cuts off at 5000rpm, and i can't go any higher/faster or accelerate beyond this point in 1st position. However if I put the gear on "D" and drive, everything is ok, just not in the "1" gear. I have an ATX and my engine is practically stock with an intake, fc tb, afx udp thats it. What could be the problem? Is my transmission ****ing up? Thanks, any help is appreciated.

well for one you can't get to 7000rpm without a chip...two when hitting the rev limiter you bounce off it not bog...three you want to shift after you hit the peak of your powerband holding as high as it can go does not help your acceleration.

chris, iamgod is correct. you're most likely hitting your rev governer/fuel cut.

with the setup you have, there is no need to pull that high. your peak powerband will be in the range of about 42-4600 rpm. Anything past there you are going past your peak and just putting extra strain on the car
