Just wondered if anybody knows of any kind of engine monitoring software & cables available to hook up a PC/laptop and keep track of stats such as oil temp/pressure/air intake temp etc. while driving?
I have the second one and I am having connection problems. I can connect and scan codes fine but when it comes to logging a drive it gives me problems. I think that the autotap would be a better way to go.. CTZX3 has one.
This guy will build you a cable for $80 and distributs the software for free. Also it works on all cars that support obd_ii standard. I've been using it on my focus and it works great! The software isn't as polished as AutoTap's but it does all the same things. PM if you have any more questions.
Found this recently and it looks pretty kool www.pocketlogger.com . Only problem is that they currently don't offer it for the Focus, but maybe if enough people bother them they might even develop a Pocket Pc version?
