Got a pic? I've never seen what you're talking about. I've seen the eyebrows on Focusessesses and VWs, but not a hood that goes over the headlights.

Wow, my guess is the middle one is a one-off. The top and bottom ones are obviously from the same company (since they both have exactly the same body kit), and my guess is a company in Germany from digging through the links on that site.

On VWs, this hood is commonly referred to as a Boser style hood. I'm not sure where the name comes from, but that is the term I have seen frequently used.

I'm not sure there is even a company that makes these for VWs. It is my understanding that people take their stock hoods and weld on an additional piece of metal to form the "eyebrow" over the lights, and then bondo it smooth and repaint the hood. You can see a 'work in progress' photo here:

Hope that helps.

The grey one, to me, always looked half done. Theres something missing I think, but I just can't figure it out. The white one looks really mean looking. Like its really pissed about something. I like it.

Maybe the site is in GErmany but all those cars have Belgium licence plates on them.

Re: European Hood \"Mod\" *pics*

they are all one off jobs. There is no company that makes them, like erik said, people just add more metal to the stock hood. The white one is a very nice custom job that made a custom bumper also to complete the grill delete. The first car and the last car is the same car, the first pic is a more recent pic after his paint job was done. Ive been checking carstyling.net every other day for about a year now, lol. So to answer ur question, its custom, there is no company that sells that style hood.

Boser or 'Bad Boy' or Boser Blick is the term for the hoods. There are also other names which folks come up with. 'sleepy boser', etc... It all depends on the style. (which is huge in the vw community)

here is my finished project:

There are many styles and some companies are starting to make CF hoods with a pre-set style. Some places even make extensions for the hoods as well. Though most are custom and can cost anywhere from 650-1300 depending on how wild you get.

Re: European Hood \"Mod\" *pics*

It is more common on Mainland Europe to carry out such mods. It's not yet really got to the UK Focis, though it is part of the "Barry Boy" sub-culture with the Corsa, Nova, Punto, Saxo, Clio crowd.

That is correct, It's a common mod that is done over there. mostly to the Escorts, but I like how it looks over the ST170's

Re: European Hood \"Mod\" *pics*

only thing I see that I would change from the one pict in the first post if the edge of the headlight can be seen, but the white one is just perfect. MMMMM could be a project for body shop class.

Re: European Hood \"Mod\" *pics*

Does anyone know what front bumper this is and where I might find it. It looks to be european.
it IS europeam, its just the stock 2002+ front bumper, with the JMS lip moulded together, and all the body lines and creases bondo'd smooth. the bumper on the white foci, has a different lip moulded on, perhaps its the reigier? i not sure, but it looks sick too.

Re: European Hood \"Mod\" *pics*

actually looks like the exact same car, just repainted. i bet it is a 1 off job he did like the bumpers and stuff.

brent
How could it be the same car if the hood is lower on the one in the middle. The first and last could be the same.

His reply was to me. We were talking about the first and last one. We agreed that the middle one was different.
