F2\'s 2.3 Turbo info and pics (updated with lil videos)

Since Ricardo is up to his eye balls with SEMA related work, he wanted me to post this write up and pics of his new 2.3 turbo on his RS Focus , feel free to contact F2 for any questions, or PM me and ill get the info for you

F2 would like to show the first pictures of the production Turbo that
will
be offered shortly for 2.3L and 2.0L Duratec. The 2.0L Zetec is being
worked
on and sometime before the end of the year we will have that one ready
to
test. But for the Duratec here it is, the tuning is being ironed out
and
working. As soon as I the car is closer to the way I want it I will
Dyno it
and post those numbers. But the car feels incredible when at power. I
would
say I have about 240hp easily but some say possibly more. At the moment
the
max boost is 9psi. Expect more information to come after SEMA and stay
tuned
for a press release here on Focal Jet on our SEMA project.

We also have a engine package for the Duratec that will allow you to
achieve
high horsepower. Preliminary numbers would put this kit at no more than
$4000.00. Also remember that this is the high boost kit for the stock
motor.
If you combine the engine package and this kit you are looking at an
estimated cost of about $7500.00 to $8000.00, engine details will be
posted

that thing looks great. I love the RS conversion....oh yeah the turbo is pretty nice too.

I see that it moves the Batt were does it place it? In the bumber like ortech or in the trunk?

Hm... I'm gald to see some turbo kit progress for the Duratec.

Some turbo manifold photos would be nice.

What turbo is going to be used with the kit? Flow capabilities? Internal or external WG?

Those IC end tanks look scary.

intuneauto and I think its going to be in the 275whp range @ 9psi, there is just so much power, i will try my best to get a lil video w/ audio of the turbo

funny thing is it sounds exactly like the turbo from Fast n furious Supra yeah yeah i know referencing car product to the freakin Fast N da Corniest

Just got off the phone with Ricardo and He will schedule Dyno time right when he gets back from SEMA

I will go to his shop in a few hours with my DigiCam and do a lil video/audio demo

and for the SVTF guys i think he is workin on something for your guys too (but that will be toward the end of the year

)

Hello all thanks Robert for the post. Since I do not have an in shop Dyno yet I have to work around other people's schedule for Dyno time. But that will soon change.

The Focus Turbo you see here does not remove the battery it is just that this car already had it removed. In case you remember my Flamed Focus this is the same car. I also need to replace my stock clutch as it already fried it. The tune will be finalized next week sometime and I plan on taking the car to SEMA and also to the Focus Challenge event in Pahrump.

I know that the war is going to start with the turbos from here on in but I am confident with the knowledge we gain working with the Volvo and there R&D department this year. The Focus can and will be very good.

The specs of the setup I have here will be posted later but all has been tested and I am pleased with it. See you all at SEMA take care.

if he would sell it it would be everything, the Bumper,Fenders,hood and Doors because the Fire Paint Job was too kool to repaint over, but i think F2 has plans for it

thats cool...Im just gonna buy the DTM bumper anyway...that car was way to awsome to paint over...I don't know what I was thinking.

yeah man come on

but your going to like the DTM Bumper they are a bit more stonger then the Evo3 so when you hit a curb the DTM wont break

i rode in this car on its madien run,Very torquey,Great top end "wich is what the 2.3 lacks"the car has a mean charge above 3500 and as tribal said sounds just like the supra in The fast n furious.It was very drivable,still have to get the idle down pat and there was a mapping problem in the 2000 to 2500 range,But for a first run it was spectacular.
What i liked about the entire kit was it is clean,keeps the battery in its stock location and most of all kept the turbo hidden.
All in all a top notch product and lots of fun to drive
